The International School of Myanmar (ISM) is the largest International School in Myanmar. We offer an American education to approximately 925 students in grades Pre-K through Grade 12. ISM provides an annual airfare and houses all teachers in furnished serviced apartments within close proximity to the school. ISM also provides a shipping allowance and transportation to and from school. Utilities (up to 1000 units/month) and High-Speed internet are also covered by the school.

ISM provides tuition remission for up to two dependent children of full-time employees. All dependents must meet the entrance requirements
We have a very diverse group of teaching faculty on staff, familiarity with US-based curriculum is desired but not required.
ISM provides 10 consecutive maternity weeks and 7 paternity work days for employees at any time of their employment at the school.
Working at ISM is a joy! The staff and administration are supportive, saying and doing all the right things to allow me to focus on my job of teaching music. The students are eager learners, full of fun and energy, while being very respectful. My husband and I enjoy exploring Yangon and learning about the various cultures here. We love the wide variety of food and love shopping for textiles and Myanmar artisan crafts. We enjoy walking and biking around our neighborhood and the city. The Myanmar people cannot be more friendly or welcoming. On long weekends and breaks, we can easily take a plane from Yangon airport to many destinations in South East Asia. We are enjoying an excellent quality of life here in Yangon.
